Make this 50% smaller: Vance is a proud native Texan who now enjoys life in Northern Michigan. A licensed CPA for over 50 years, he is retired from public accounting following a distinguished career. Vance served as a partner at two of the Big Four accounting firms and was instrumental in building a successful regional firm, HM&M—he’s the “&M” in the name.

His practice focused on three key areas: energy and natural resources; ultra-high net worth individuals and families; and mergers and acquisitions, including international transactions. In addition to his accounting career, Vance has experience as an investment banker and has held executive roles as CEO and CFO of publicly traded companies.

Today, he devotes his time to serving on the boards of nonprofit organizations and, when not doing that, working through his ever-growing list of honey-dos.
